Photographs from Africa and Beyond
Although I was born in Blantyre, Nyasaland (now called Malawi) The family moved to Rhodesia (now called Zimbabwe) when I was two years old so my formative years were spent there until we left in 1978 to live in Britain when I was sixteen.
In 1980 I returned for a holiday which was spent touring the newly independent Zimbabwe with a close school friend who is still there today. The pictures on the two Zimbabwe pages and the Victoria Falls pages were taken during that holiday. The pictures on the Harare page were taken during the time I lived there, when the city was called Salisbury.
My favourite city, although London comes a close second. Cape Town was also my mum's favourite city and was where she loved when she first came to Africa. She did warn me about the weather and the cold winds!
The pictures on this page were taken in 2006 when I visited South Africa and Zimbabwe with my fiancée and in 2007 when we had our honeymoon there after our wedding in Zimbabwe.
