Via dei Fori Imperiali
A picture taken slightly further up the Via dei Fori Imperiali, near its north-west end, looking almost west towards Vittoriano and the Piazza Venezia.
This broad avenue, which links the Piazza Venezia to the Colosseum, was built in 1931-33 on the orders of Mussolini, and involved the destruction of dense and ancient neighborhoods.
