Teatro di Marcello

Looking down the Via del Portico d'Ottavia towards the magnificent sight of the Teatro di Marcello where architect Baldassarre Peruzzi built a Renaissance palace on two arcaded storeys left over from a huge theatre built by Augustus in the 1st century BC. The Teatro di Marcello lies at the other end of Capitoline Hill from Vittoriano.
