Fluid Flywheel

The Fluid Flywheel cocktail was invented at Brooklands, the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation. Brooklands, constructed in 1907, with the slogan "The Right Crowd and no Crowding", was the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit and was also one of Britain's earliest airfields. I came across the recipe for this cocktail in a motoring book whose title, alas, I cannot now recall.

To make a Fluid Flywheel:

  • 1 part brandy
  • 1 part Cointreau
  • 1 part gin
